Auto with the unlock (either one) buttons inside work and the door unlocks using the FOB.) It is causing the main problem of getting the truck to start - like there is a short or something... It started last Thursday when as I got off of work, I went to put something in on the passenger side and when I initially turned the key to the left (CC- Counter-Clockwise), it turned hard but didn't unlock. I tried again turning right, left and then right again to no avail. So I went and let myself in the driver's side, started the car and then tried the unlock button (DS- Driver's side), also to no avail. It took two tries with the passenger side unlock button to unlock the door (Both buttons have worked since.) Later that night I went to an End-Of-Season Party and when I got out, the truck wouldn't start. I jumped it to get it home thinking that driving it home would/should recharge the battery(the ABS dumby light was on). I was incorrect and the battery sounded near dead with the solenoid(?) clicking slowly. When I got out to come into the house (it was cold and getting late) I was passing the driver's side front tire and it sounded like the ABS system was running which was seriously confusing because no one was in the truck and the truck was off. I'm going out to pull off the passenger side door panel and was wondering if anyone has any ideas about this????
This problem seems to be connected to the door jam switch(s). does the breaker switch become hot ? If it does your problem might be the door jam switch from the passenger side. this causes other problems too. It sometimes causes the seat to not work either. Check the breaker switch for the door.replace it if it is hot.
