SOURCE: trying to change O2 sensor on 1998 chevy lumina

This is a major prob!! Sometimes it is best to remove the pipe and take it to a shop and have a new thread piece welded in! I have seen where you do manage to turn it, but the threads get stripped anyway. This should be changed once a year for top performance and do not tighten the new one in with great force. SOURCE: Where is the camshaft position sensor located-99 Chevy Lumina 3.1

It's held down by one bolt right above the timing chain cover. It's next to the head that's facing toward the front of the car.

SOURCE: Radiator Cooling fans pull or push air (93 Chevy Lumina 3.1 L) ?

A radiator fan is designed to pull air to pull air through the radiator to help cool it, while blowing the air on back across the engine to try to assist once again at keeping the unit running cool as to not over heat.

93 Chevy lumina van , no spark ,tunes over nice ,3.8 engine

Almost always it's the crank sensor on a 3.8.They fail so often,I recommend changing the crank sensor at every tune up.
Otherwise the 3.8 is a great engine.

I need the easiest possible directions to replace the coolant temperature sensor in my 1999 Chevy Lumina ltz 3.8 v6 car please.

The coolant sensor temperature is usually found just beneath the cylinder head, on the engine block.

You just disconnect the 1-2 wires and then undo it with a wrench.
The sensor will look like one of these:
1999 Chevy Lumina ltz 3 8 v6 coolant temperature sensor Google Search

Just be aware .. you may have TWO such sensors on your vehicle.

One sensor (usually with 3-4 electrical pins) is near the thermostat and works in conjunction with other sensors to regulate fuel/air according to engine temperature.

The other type of sensor is in the block near the cylinder head. It sends a signal to the temperature gauge on your dashboard ONLY. If your temp gauge constantly reads too hot or too cold .. this one is the culprit.25939754-r0ibht2u2t2rhetbyfvb2pry-5-0.jpg
If it's a running fault .. speed .. rough running .. fuel. It may look like this:

Where is the iat sensor located on a 1999 chevy cavalier 4cyl

The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor determines the air temperature inside the intake manifold. Resistance changes in response to the ambient air temperature. The sensor has a negative temperature coefficient. As the temperature of the sensor rises the resistance across the sensor decreases. This provides a signal to the PCM indicating the temperature of the incoming air charge. This sensor helps the PCM to determine spark timing and air/fuel ratio. Information from this sensor is added to the pressure sensor information to calculate the air mass being sent to the cylinders. The IAT is a two wire sensor, a 5-volt reference signal is sent to the sensor and the signal return is based upon the change in the measured resistance due to temperature.

Need to know what codes 12 and 33 mean,thanks/93 chevy lumina, auto trans.

Code 12 is just a code telling you that you are in the diagnostic mode and it is working. Code 33 is a mass air flow error code. The computer is detecting mor air going into the engine then required at the detected rpm for more than 5 seconds. Could be caused by a faulty connection(wiring harness, ect) to a bad ECM(electronic control module) or MAF(mass air flow) sensor. Also the TPS(throttle position sensor) could be out of adjustment.

'93 chevy lumina euro dies when given gas

Is yourd check engine light on? If it is, I would have the codes read first thing. If not, it could be clogged fuel filter or air filter, loose vacuum hose, or bad throttle position sensor or other sensor but the sensors or any electrical problem will set off check engine light.

1992 Chevy Lumina will not start when temp is below 0 degrees

Try changing the fuel filter, water trapped in it can freeze. Its a 92 and probably time for a fuel pump. They don't like water either.(Meythonol Fuel) Always change fuel filter when adding antifreeze to fuel
