Recently had my brakes done, when in got truck back the dash flashes ABS fault and ABS light stays on
Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS, TPMS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You
must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool
and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for
the problem(s)
Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System

I just took delivery on my 2004 Chevy Colorado on Monday (12/1/08) and yesterday morning (12/3) the ABS warning light came on and stayed on my whole trip to work. When I went to leave at in the afternoon, the light went off just after I started pulling out of the lot. The light stayed off the whole ride home and was off when I went to work this AM but on my way home the light came on again. I'm taking it to the shop Monday but obviously I'm a little annoyed having to bring it back in to the dealer a week after I picked it up. I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come!
I went to start the car this morning and it will not start. I have a 2007 chevy colorado, and it will not start. All I get is a warning on the dash that says "ABS fault". what do I do?
i have same problem
I went to the store yesterday morning, about 5 miles. Everything was ok. While going to work yesterday evening, the ABS Fault light came on and stayed on. I looked at my repair manual and it says to check fuses (ok), the connector at the EBCM (ok), The brake line, calipers, & wheel cylinders (those should be ok, I have only 35,000 mi on my 05 Canyon). What else can I do beside taking it to the dealer?
try the abs sensors which are at rear of brake discs connection might have been knocked while having brakes done
Abs and steering lights on the dashboard stay on
Brakes are spungy
ABS light was flashing and now it stays on constantly. What could be the problem?
