I have approximately 44,130 miles on a 2009 Honda Accord. I did the C maintenance prior at the dealer when I had 15% oil life and B1 . I have just the A and 15% oil life now. The dealer told me the next time I come in I would need to do the transmission fluid and engine coolant. Do I need to replace the transmission fluid and engine coolant or should I wait till the maintenance minder gives the code to replace it? I been told the transmission fluid should be changed at 30,000 or so.
Transmission oil at 60,000 klms approximately but can be done any time depending on the operating conditions , speed and load
the coolant should be changed when it falls below 50% water anti freeze mix--check with a refractometer
engine oil should be replaced at 5,000 miles or 10,000klms sooner in colder conditions as the water carrying agent deals with more in winter from cold engine starts

Hi, According to the manual, pressing the reset button (left of steering wheel) until you see the Oil life % on the display. Once you have that then hold the reset button in for about ten seconds until the display flashes. Let go for a second and then press down again for about 5 more seconds and it should reset to 100% when it's complete

Maintenance minder is based upon driving conditions and time. Look in your owners manual for a factroy schedule or consult your local dealer/repair shop and request a maintenance interval check list. They will be more than happy to help probably at no charge.

The tranny fluid on most cars and trucks is 30,000 miles ,as far as the engine oil if you use a good oil brand like Honda motor oil or even like Motorcraft they are a synthectic blend 5w20 and you can go 5,000 miles between oil changes. Now if your useing regular motor oil change it every 3,000 miles.Hope that helps
SOURCE: It'll be appreaciated if anybody knows how to
It may not be the same for a Civic, but for a 09 Accord:
1. Turn ignition to ON (II) position
2. Press select/reset (odometer) knob until engine oil life indicator displayed
3. Press knob about 10 sec, until oil life & maint code items blink
4. Press knob another 5 secs, until code disappears & engine oil life resets to 100%
If this isn't right for you, the procedure should be indicated in your manual.
Hope this helps.

It is fairly easy to do - just hold the odometer mileage reset button before starting the car and turn the key to start the car, keep holding the button for 2 more sec. This works for my 1998 Honda Accord and should be the same for yours.

I am looking at the Normal service table and Severe service table in ALLDATA. The severe service for 45,000 says to replace the oil, replace the air filter, replace cabin filter. I did that in the prior oil change when the dealer did the C maintenance on it for like $300. Do I go by this severe maintenance table and change the transmission fluid, engine coolant, etc when the table tells me or should I have them replaced when I do this oil change?
