Dome light stays on, power windows don't work... 1999 Jeep

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee: When my daughter was driving, the drivers door ajar monitor indicated the door was open when it was not (re-closed all doors and hatches). Now the dome light stays on unless you turn it off (no-longer in the automatic mode, automated mode allows for automatic headlights and the dome light to come on when the door is opened... Headlights work in all modes except automatic mode), all four power windows do not work and the radio controls on the steering wheel don't work (radio volume, etc.). All of the above happened 2-days ago, all at once.
Also, I suspect a drivers door pin. I looked at the site of the door hinges but could not find it. Is the door pin located inside of the door? Is there one? I can not find the power window fuse, relay or circuit breaker, do you know the location? Just purchased Haynes Repair Manual and it gives no indication or help with above. Thanks!

Same problem, power windows quit working, stereo controls on steering wheel quit working, door open light on, no doors open, panel lights stay on after car is turned off, lights on gear shift, radio/clock dim to almost nothing when headlights are on, headlights do not come on automatically after vehicle is turned on, and now the service engine light is on. I'm about to give up. any thoughts?

    Thanks

It happened again, so I fixed it, well, now the mirrors work, and as do the locks, but now my EVIC only tells the directions I am going, memory seat doesn't work, no power windows, basically the same thing just locks work and windows work. Check power, good, fuses good, got haynes, useless, arms up in air! Help!?

Check for a broken 12V+ or broken ground wire in the rubber boot that goes from the drivers door to the hinge pillar. Had this problem on mine and found both wires broken from years of flexing when door opened and closed. Don't try to splice the break, as the wire is too short and is also brittle. Run new (same guage) wire through the boot and splice inside the door and under the left side kick panel.

Power windows stopped working and dome lights stay on. Power locks work only with the "clicker" but not on driver door

Look under the hood fuse no. 12 should be for power windows. Or maybe something like a bad ground wire in drivers door harness.

remove the door switch, clean and reinsert. It switched ground to a black cable, which goes to the PCM.

Power windows dont work and dome light stays on

It has to be a broken wire! Initially, I lost the door locks & power to the windows ONLY when the drivers door was open. When I closed the door, the problem went away. Finally, I had the problem all the time. I checked for 12 vdc at the switch in the drivers door and there was NO POWER. In the rubber boot (between the car & door) I found the grey wire (with a pink stripe) was broken internally but the INSULATION WAS NOT!!!

Dome lights intermittently flash on and off in a 1996 Jeep

If it has automatic or a domelight that stays on for a while after you shut the door is on a timer relay and that is probably getting bad. As far as the door ajar message there is a switch in the door jam, look and see if you see it. Take wd40 and try to soak the switch try to get it inside the switch. If its incorporated in the door latch spray back inside the door latch real good. Open and close the door several times and see if it works then.
