FYI, the slave cylinder is pushing correctly, the clutch is the 'PULL TYPE', not the 'PUSH' type.

www.hmaservice.com and register the vehicle by VIN #. You'll then have access to Shop Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Illustrations, Service Bulletins, etc.
The clutch on the 2002 Elantra, as I mentioned, is the "Pull Type". Instead of 'Pushing' on the throw-out bearing, it "Pulls" on it. The pressure plate engages when the bearing is released (when it is 'pulled' back into the pressure plate 'fingers'
Was the new trans & clutch installed at an authorized Hyundai Service Department? If not, you might want to have them inspect the installation to determine what's wrong. If it WAS installed by a Hyundai Service Dept, take it back to them & tell them to FIX IT!
Do you have a heavy duty floor jack and 4 jack stands? if not let the pro's HANDLE THIS ONE
hyundai elantra 2002 Transmission Speed Sensor
i had my clutch and flywheel changed 6 months ago on my hyundai elantra and now it won't go pass 10 mph i tried changing the gears but that doesn't do anything but make a lot of noise. Now it won't move at all
had a new cutch installed 6 months ago. It will drive if the car is put in first or reverse when the car is off but will not shift into any other gear after.
