I just bought a new switch and cannot get the old one out. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know how to get the switch pulled out of the fuse box? I tried to use needle nose pliers, it is very hard to access. Is there a special tool to pop it out?

Fords are notorius for faulty fan switches, you will need to get a new one, but it will probably fail in a year or two.

Do a little research you will find that the 2002 Ford Taurus was notorious for a faulty cabin filter that leaked water into the motor..the first thing to go is the resistor which will only allow the fan to work on high. Eventually the motor will go altogether. Two things need to be done after that, R/R the motor then reseal the cabin filter if your car has one..also Ford has a Rain Hat that they will gladly charge you around $200 bucks to install if you want to try that option

Blower fan only has highest speed functional.

Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor.

My Ford escape 2002 A/C stop working on high speed or when revolutions going up to 3500.

You may have a problem with your compressor clutch..When you say
the A/C stops working on high speed, do you mean the blower motor
fan speed, or the car's speed?

2002 Honda Odyssey fan only works at high speed. The A/C compress

Usually when the blower fan only operates on hi speed, its because of a failed blower motor resistor. You still have hi speed because on hi, the power going to the blower motor goes directly to it, as opposed to the lower speeds, when the power is routed through the resistor, thus lowering the voltage, which in turn lowers the speed of the fan. The resistor is usually located near the blower motor itself, under the hood back near the firewall.

My blower motor fan speed switch will work only on High.

I had a similar problem with my 03 Taurus. Does your floorboard on the passenger side get wet when it rains really hard? If so, Ford is aware of a defect above the fan motor which is behind the glovebox.
I contacted Ford directly and they had my local ford dealer fix it free and they gave me money towards a new blower motor which shorted out from the leak, it's possible it just your switch if there is no leak but you might need both the switch and blower motor replaced like I did. Hope this helps.

Heater and a/c fan

This is a pretty common complaint and is almost certainly due to a failed heater fan resistor.  This is a stepped resistor with taps that set the different speeds on your blower and if any part of it goes bad, the whole thing doesn't work any more and the highest speed is the only one that bypasses this part. These are often mounted on the fire wall but may not be exposed so you really need a service manual (Haynes or Chilton will do) to locate it in your car.

Blower only runs on high

Ignition switch is the culprit. On Fords for high speed blower motor is direct whereas the lower speeds go through the ignition switch. If there is an issue with the switch the blower will only work at high speed. A schematic will confirm that.
