Can the Body Module on 2001 Impala cause door locks, trunk lock and interior lights not to work?

After an attempt to change out the radio for a newer model radio which is for the 2001 Impala, my door locks, electric trunk lock and interior lights do not work. The in-line fuse for the locks is OK. Garage said the issue is in the vehicle when they attempted to do a flash reset. Could the issue be the body module be the problem or ECM?

ECM has nothing to do those thing's . Probably not A BCM problem either . Did the Garage check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ?
DTC B3064 or B3069
DTC B3127
DTC B3128, B3133, or B3138
DTC B3132
DTC B3137
DTC B3272

Did they test the electrical circuit's for these componets ? Looking at a wirng diagram to see what if anything these have in common ,power feed , ground etc. maybe . What kind of garage did you take it to . Just to let you know ,replacing any module on your vehicle would need programming , dealer .

SOURCE: Body Control Module - 2000 Chevy Blazer

Not sure about a body control module, there is a pcm under the hood on the pass. side that controls most everything on these, however i would check your fuses for the seat, on the 00 models the headlights do stay on all the time while driving due to daytime running lights but if they stay on after you take the key out then id check the headlight switch or sensor on the pass side dash.

SOURCE: PCM module, ECM module 1996 Chevy Suburban K model

Powertrain Control Module = under right side of dash, near blower motor.
Engine Control Module = same as above
Vehicle Control Module = same as above

All Suburban vehicles are equipped with only one of these choices. Good luck.

SOURCE: Security Light always on, door lock fuse keeps blowing

This is most likely a problem with your Passlock anti-theft system which is known issue with these cars. Passlock is a "passive" anti-theft system, which means that it will disable your ability to start the car if it thinks there is a problem. The three components that can cause this are: 1) Ignition Switch, 2) Ignition Cylinder, 3) Body Control Module (computer). The dealer is the only one who can solve this problem (unless you can bypass it, but it is not that easy). Estimated repair from most dealers is $800 and up.

SOURCE: changed body control module on 2002 MonteCarlo

Try cleaning the key and ignition switch with alcohol or electric contact cleaner. Try a different key if you have one. And GM's are known to have problems with the ignition cylinder and theft deterant system. A new ignition cylinder costs $280-$300. Sometimes you can turn the key to the run position wait ten minutes and then start it. Some people say you have to turn the cylinder to the off but not lock position before starting after waiting the ten minutes, but my sister didn't have to with her Malibu.

SOURCE: 2001 Chevrolet Impala Door Locks Suddenly Quit Working

Passenger side of the fender under the hood - check the fuse relay box - about $12.00 a piece - they do go bad from time to time.
exchange the power lock relay with another one and test the locks.
then put the relay back and go to the autostore.

2007 jeep liberty, door locks / interior lights/ radio stopped working/gauges go all the way to the right when key turned to on position then go back.

All of these functions, except for the radio, are controlled by the Body Control Module, so I would suspect that being the cause. The steering controls for the radio also go through the Body Control Module, so maybe that it why it is also not working.

Where is the body control module located in 2005 Lincoln las.

There is no BODY CONTROL module, but there is a Front Electronic module FEM, and a rear electronic module,REM (not the rock group,LOL!).
The FEM is located behind the driver's kick panel and the FEM is located on the right side down in the trunk.
The REM controls: Rear windows, , all rear lights, trunk opening, fuel door release, rear window defrost grid, trunk ajar switch, front passenger door lock, , front passenger door lock switch, rear door locks, trunk light, fuel pump, fuel level senders, antenna booster.

Interior lights, radio, power mirors, remote door lock and power truck release do not work at all. Replace fuse and still dont work. Any ideas? Thanks

it is your body control module. . did not mix it up with the computer. the bcm runs every thing inside the car locks/radio/mirrors /etc.. in your car it is part of the fuse box under the dash

DIC periodically goes beserk and displays "trunk open" and "door ajar" when in fact they are not. Door locks operate independently while I am cruising along. Interior lights come on and stay lit after...

this sounds like a problem with the body control module. this era of these cars were common for these problems. have the vehicle scanned, hopefully that can shed some more light on the situation. this is a dealer item only.
