2005 freestyle ford what makes my hot guage go up when the car is not running hot

grounded wire to the temp sender unit will make it do that
however make sure that the car is not running hot as low coolant levels will cause it to happen as well just before it runs hot

Still running hot, can a intake vacuum hose make this car run hot, and does the bleeder screw need to be all the way open to bleed out all air

Vacuum leaks can (in some cases) make an engine run lean, and that will indeed make it run hot and potentially even burn valves. Modern computer controlled systems usually adjust fuel mix for minor leaks, and set codes for major vacuum leaks that can't be compensated for. Bleeder screw does not IMHO need to be open all the way, however I have seen some cars where the valve is not located at the high spot of the cooling system such that air can be trapped somewhere.

My chevy impala keeps running hot eventhough the radiator and the fluid isn't getting hot. But after running for a short period of time or trying to drive for a short period the car runs hot and c

I would start by checking the fluid to make sure it's at the proper level, Then check to see if the thermostat is opening like it should. If you have good flow and you get heat inside the car but the car still overheats I think I'd be checking for blown head gaskets and head warp.

If the serpentine belt pops does that make your car run hot?

Have you checked your fans? they both need to come on. Sometimes only one comes on and that will make your car overheat. You might want to check the bleeder valve on your intake manifold., usually located where the upper hose goes into the motor, near the thermostat housing. Sounds like a fan problem to me

Running hot

When you say its running hot..is it "overheating" which would ruin your engine?
If it is running warmer than it should you may need to replace the thermostat..
If it is boiling over just a little when you park (making you THINK that it is running hot)...you need to replace the radiator cap, as the pressure seal is not working.. which will make it appear to be running hot...but its not...... the thermostat cap is a $5 to $10 item.... need more info

95 ford mustang hot outstide quits running

For starters have the radiator and coolant system flushed which may help cool the engine better. But when it gets too hot, motor oil loses it's viscosity ( thickness and lubrication properties ) and gets thinner. Especially in hot weather you should make sure you have good oil and make sure you dont run it low on oil. On the flip side make sure that it's not overfilled because this will blow out the seals and you'll have much bigger problems than no power. Hope it helps!
