Car was hit in front(light)...condensor and radiator replaced. Went to charge A/C...pulled vacumn(Held) . proceeded to put in oil and freon(1 can..12oz) .....Started Cad. ...compressor would not engage.....Found relay, grounded relay compressor kicked in; however coolant fans did not come on....Found relay for coolant fan #2 high fan, grounded. I grounded both coolant relat and compressor in order to fill system. It is filled...unhooked ground on relays. Turned on A/C at module head inside cad....no compressor or coolant fans come on.......changed head with used head control, still not working. Give me some pointers.....thanks
Check for broken wiring, blown fuses, possible bad relays, and look at the pressure switch. Some systems have a high pressure switch (some have a low pressure also) that prevent the compressor from running. If it is faulty or damaged, it could be preventing the compressor from running. Wire damage could be possible with front end damage.

if there is power to the plug then the relays are good. chances are that the thermo sensor to the fan is faulty.

fan does not generally come on till you reach about 210f. second fay comes on when ac compressor is on. Allowing for gauge inaccuracy this does not sound like a problem. Have you checked for coolant loss inside or outside the engine? If coolant is low, it may not be reaching the sensor unless you make pump run faster. Those engines are known for head and intake gasket problems, which may be the underlying cause of what you described. A partilally obstructed radiator can give some of the symptoms but I don't thind that is it.

If you have an electric display ATC type control there is a blower switch which controls only the blower whether its on heat or cool. On my Ford system it was under the hood in the duct work on the opposite end of the blower. Your system is probably electronic and if you replace this part it may work, mine did. You might want to go to a salvage yard and reclaim one from a wreck. You will learn where the part is and how hard it is to remove before you work on your car.

with the a/c on, the fan should be on. crank it up, turn a/c on, now take a hammer and gently tap on the coolant fan, if it comes on, or attempt to spin, its bad.

your radiator has a pecock on the bottom of it screw it out then you can run water through a hose behind it once it stops draining to get any residue out as far as the engine youll never truly get all of the old coolant out without tearing it down and putting it back together so flushing the radiator is just fine.
