2004 GMS Sierra 1500 Crew Cab right turn signal not working but intermittently makes clicking noise.

Hello, Left turn signal works fine. Right turn signal stopped working. The right signal arrow on the dashboard display will occasionally illuminate and blink 1 to 4 times when turned on. The exterior right blinker will work when it does this... briefly. Most of the time the right turn signal just doesn't work, but will make a fast clicking noise which stops a few seconds later. All of the bulbs and fuses are good. I am hoping that this is something I can fix, and not a complicated and expensive repair. Possibly a switch or flasher? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. Rose

Sorry... GMC of course! Slip of typing finger... sorry!

Unfortunately, no one was able to help me with this problem. However, I was able to fix the problem myself with a little work and sheer determination! It was the flasher unit. Thanks.

SOURCE: When turning on left turn signal, the flashers

you have two problems the flashers are shorted. I would check the wire harness at rear off the truck. Possibly a trailer light harness has shorted at the plug most of these can be taken out of the harness and the two ends will plug together without the trailer plug.

SOURCE: 2005 Canyon turn signal problem

No, but that's probably where your problem is. The wires get the hell beat out of them by stones, and then they short out and cause problems. I would take a look at it.

SOURCE: 2004 GMC Yukon xl......If I put left turn signal

That vehicle has all three switches attached to the same module. Spray a little wd-40 into the flasher switch. Sometimes the slide on the flasher switch gets a little sticky and won't allow the turn signal to work independently. If that isn't the case, there is a repair kit for that available on ebay. the module of course costs around three hundred to replace but could possibly be found at a boneyard for much less. Also, check ebay for that module. Hopefully the WD-40 will fix it. Good luck.

2004 Chevy Silverado Extended cab. Why did my blinkers / hazards, interior lights, instrument cluster lights and driver window stop working?

These vehicles were known for faulty hazard switches. They would cause an intermittent turn signal flash when you hadn't activated turn signals or they would prevent the turn signals from working at all. Operate the hazard switch and see if the turn signals work again. If so, replace the hazard switch

My cruise control is not working but the light will flick on when i touch the bottom but it will not stay lit this is for a 2004 gmc sierra LT 5.3 V8

The multi purpose wand the includes the cruise control, wipers, high beams and turn signal, might have a short in it. Since the light comes on at first and immediately goes off makes me think the fuses are fine and it just a capacitor inside that wand. GM wants almost 500 for the part on my 01 Sierra, but you can easily find them online for around $90

My a/c work but sometime it blows hot on the left side only it

Probably your left temp actuator failed internally. Check the right instrument panel junction block-right side, end of dash-to make sure connectors are fully seated. But thisis usually caused by a faulty temp actuator.
