I have a diesel manual five speed truck that needs a part repaired in the steering column. I got the part from ford, but it comes with no diagram of the complicated steering assembly and no directions for disassembly and reassembly. Where can I get a diagram and instructions?
Go back to the dealer ,chat the storeman up nicely and he will print you off the parts picture so you some idea where it goes ,this vehicle is so oil that nothing is complicated about this motor as i repaired a 350 1989 model last week and apart from getting the plugs out after they had been in for 15 yrs their was nothing i found difficult ,just big and heavy with its twin rear wheels and a complete brake rebuild as well .Still think a ford transit diesel is a better motor though because at our fuel prices here in europe ? need i say more
You should be able to get an aftermarket workshop manual for your car . Gregory,s and clymer are to publishers who create such publications . Or just google workshop manual for your make model and year of vehicle. The aftermarket manuals are better thsan factory manuals as they explain the process of dismantling and reassembly , factory workshop manuals are for experinced mechanics that are familiar with the vehicle .

I have had this same problem after thorough checking it ended up being a bad steering box. after replacing the box it was fine

If they are sealed bearings, you will need a press to get them out. If they are bolt in, just remove the brake pads/rotors, then the axle nut, then the bolts holding the wheel bearing in. Install in reverse order.

Try ebaymotors they have repair manuals on cd that are inexpensive and have electrical schematics as well as vacuum diagrams. $15.00 - $20.00

You need to specify that if the diagram engine or that. Thanks
