Rear tail light assembly keeps goes bad. In the last 2 years, I've had to replace the left rear taillight assembly four times. Now, the right assembly is acting up. Why would the truck continue to ruin the rear tail light assemblys circuit boards? Does anyone else have this problem? How do I fix it once and for all without having to sell one of my children to buy a new truck?

If you're asking how do you change a taillight bulb, then follow this procedure:
Open the trunk lid.
Disconnect the connectors from the taillights (taillight bulb connectors are visible by looking inside the trunk at the back of the tail lamps.) There may be an interior trunk trim panel that you have to take off but in most cases its just a series of thumb screws that hold them in.
Brake Lights/Taillights: 21/5 W
Rear Turn Signal Light: 21 W
Back-up Light: 21 W
Rear Side Marker Light: 5 W
Turn the bulb sockets 45 º counterclockwise to remove the bulbs.
If you're removing the taillamps with the bumper off there are 3 nuts and screws that hold the taillight to the rear panel of the car that have to come off from the inside of the trunk.
Remove the nuts and screws, then remove the taillight.
hope that answers your question

There was a recall on this, take to the dealer and they will replace the whole socket on this.

SOURCE: How do you replace rear tail light assembly?
Open the trunk and along the bottom of the tail light, there should be a Philips screw securing a cover piece. (your car may or may not have this piece)
With the cover off, there will be another 2 screws securing the bottom of the tail light assembly. Remove the screws and pull the bottom out and the top is held in by two retainers that should just slide right out

I have removed the assembly but can't disconnect/reconnect the wiring to replace the entire assembly with a new one. How do I get to the wiring disconnection?

I know it's not the harness because I can connect the left tail light assembly to the right side and it works fine.
