P0332 = Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor - no signal.
The sensor monitoring the RPM's of the engine isn't communicating with the vehicle's ECU, (brain). This could explain the difficulty starting the engine.
VW rabbit 2007 has electronic power steering so you have to send it for diagnostic testing on an ODB II tester. It is the only way you going to pick up that intermittent fault.
