SOURCE: how do i read codes for my 91 chevy silverado?

Under the dash board there is an electrical block with nothing plugged into it. there are 2 rows of terminals. on the top row on the right is terminal "a". terminal "b" is the second one in from the right. terminal diagram labeling is like this from left to right.
top row,"F", "E", "blank","C","B","A"
bottom row "G","H", "blank","blank","blank","blank"
take a small piece of wire and jump terminal "A" and "B". i found an unfolded paper clip works well. with the terminals jumped, turn the key to the on position.(DO NOT START ENGINE) with the key on, the service engine light will start flashing codes. count the flashes. it will repeat each code 3 times before moving on to the next code. your first and last code will be a code 12. that is just the test code. it lets you know you did it right. you will see 1 flash with a short pause then 2 flashes. after you see that 3 times, your next code will be your trouble codes. when you see code "12" again, there are no more. if you tell me what the codes are, i'll tell you what the mean. hope this helps.

O2 sensors can cause this and often they clear up after a good run.

No power when I push the gas

check for plugged exhaust system, dirty air filter, vacuum leaks, those have a mile of vacuum hoses. Also, check for bad fuel pump.

GMC 2500 Diesel, reduced engine power??

Just my 2 bits, go through a spring cleaning checklist. Plugs could be fouled up, fuel could be contaminated, you already did the filters. Do you have it chipped or programed? Change the exhaust lately? Do you have the code number? Autozone will scan it for you for free, tell you the code number. Again, just my 2 bits.

It doesnt do it usually when driving but if the engine is at normal operating temps and after a shut down for a few minutes it is dificult to start and the reduced engine power light flashes on the screen...

You are not supposed to just clear the codes, but read them and interpret them.
The reduced engine power light means it is going into limp home mode.
You then are not supposed to drive it.
Tell us the codes and them maybe we can help you.
Don't keep driving it, or you will eventually get totally stuck.
The codes are extremely important, and should be fixed.

OBD II Test Shows a Malfunction in the MAFs (Massive Air Flow) S

The O2 sensor located on the exhaust system must be checked.
Sensor and wiring must be tested using a multimeter.

Same thing for the MAF sensor located on air intake.

Car goes in limp mode when seeing boost

Some K&N air filters are an "oil-soaked" filter and it is that oil that can cause the problem you are having. If you want to be sure, remove the filter, clear the code(s) then drive the car. If the code(s) do not return, install a non-oil-soaked filter.

Have you tested the MAF sensor, disconnect the MAF sensor and see if the problem goes away, if it does replace the MAF. Disconnect the battery to clear the code.
