Heat and AC not working in 95 Avalon

Hello, Both A/C and Heaing stopped working on my 95 Avalon for a week. The clock, temp display and air circulation buttons were also stopped working at the same time. I checked the fuses visually where possible. They seem to be good. Since no air is blowing in I thought my blower motor is bad and changed with no luck. Also, the blower is not working on any setting. Any suggestions on how to fix? Please help. How can I make sure blower motor is getting power? Thanks,

You need to replace the blower motor resistor.

Have you tried smacking the blower motor? If it starts running after you hit it, replace it.

SOURCE: Blower for AC/Heater stopped working

if you can reach the blower motor, it could be a worn out carbon brush of the blower motor. if they are, buy a set of carbon brush, learn how to replace them and it would be back running in no time. by the way, when you pull out the carbon brush holder, make sure you dont interchange the position. you can put them back wards and what would happen is the rotation will be reversed. either you reversed the carbon brush holder or just simply interchange the wires that are coming to the motor. i hope i was able to help...

The problem may be a faulty blower motor behind the heather core, or a problem with wirings.

SOURCE: my 2003 jeep wrangler AC/heat fan doesn't blow any air out.

You can test both of them once you have it apart. I have given you instruction below. Please follow them as injury could result.

REMOVAL
WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

CAUTION: Stay clear of the blower motor and resistor block (Hot). Do not operate the blower motor with the resistor block removed.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the glove box from the instrument panel (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/GLOVE BOX - REMOVAL).
Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch (Blower Motor Resistor Block- Typical).
Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor.
Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing.
Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing.

You have clean the blower unit , may be its dirty then . and then check the blower resistor unit for malfunction.

Correct Operating Coolant Temp

Toyota Nation Forum https://www.toyotanation.com > threads > correct-oper...
Jan 26, 2021 - It should be around 185-190F. Buying OEM, it usually comes with a gasket. You'll need to drain the coolant, so it's a good time for a flush.

I think you have air in the cooling system, perhaps even a stuck thermostat, or a heater valve that isn't opening. Start with burping all the air out.

Ac stopped working, then lost raido and clock and now power door locks wont work

Start at fuse box... replace fuses blown. is it an after market stereo? if so may have exposed wires shorting out in back, which are any 12volt wires that are bare and touch any metal on car.

I have a 95 Avalon, the ac works great or the compressor does not turn on the ac light does not flash. later on it works perfect. it usually does this on long trips.

It could be right on the edge of having enough pressure to satisfy the low sensor to run. This will continue till a evac and refill of the correct amount of refrig.to the system. The outside temps affect these pressures. Mark

AC & Temp LED display out

The fuse for the radio/CD/DVD is seperate from the AC/Heat. Open fuse box under hood on right. follow fuse schematic to ac fuse position (note there are two so if not one, then it is the other) use the fuse puller that is in the fuse box, then replace the fuse. Good luck.
