I have a 1994 Geo Prizm that I just got in a fender bender with. My rear bumper and the styrofoam incerts were torn off completely. My estimate was much more than I can afford, mostly just for parts. I am looking to try to get these parts at a salvage yard, but will most likely have to take off the bumper myself. Problem is, I dont know how to do this (other than hitting it with a car, like I did... but then it wont be in tact like I need!). Does anyone know how to remove the bumper without damaging it?
There will be some screws and plastic clips around the trunk and rear quarters remove these. look at yours should still see the screws to give you an idea

Minor fender bender ? Where , front , rear etc.... Could have damaged wiring harness , sometimes GM mounts the PCM - engine computer behind fenders , body parts etc...
Rear are a HUB ASSEMBLY and replaces as a Unit. Same for the Front. Remove the Axle Nut, Remove the Brakes, Remove the 3 or 4 Bolts and the hub will come off.
Do you have a trailer light harness on this car? Sounds like the rear light harness has been shorted somewhere. Take a look for damaged wires under the rear bumper cover. Also look for wire harness damage in the rear hatch area, like something slid hitting the harness. Do you live where there are pack rats? The short could also be up front. Has the car been in a fender bender?
