As both the radio and ventilation motor packed up simultaneously, I suspect a common 12V positive feed, so if fuses ARE ok, then try unclip fuse box as far as possible to look for a burnt off / broken terminal. As you said p-locks & p-windows didn't work before, there might be loose connections hidden away under dashboard, behind console (center).
Happy hunting!! :)
Clive.
relays could cause this as could a fuse,, but also check that lock switch,, with a meter you will be able to see if power is actually being allowed to pass through the locking switch.
Without knowing EXACTLY which fuses have power and which ones do not have power, it is hard to say for sure. However, it sounds like you may be describing an ignition switch problem.
Easiest way to do that is grab your owners manual. There are two fuse boxes in that car. One under the hood on the left side, same area as your battery charge terminal, and the other is under the back seat, with the battery. There are fuse charts in the owners manual. Just look for fuses and relays that relate to the doors, locks, and windows. Pull them and check. If you arent sure, just replace it with a new one, fuses are inexpensive!!! Take care :-)
if the power locks don't work the windows wont work either. it's an electrical problem. you'll need to get a multimeter and see if the wires are geetting any juice. if they aren't you either need new wire or a new silonoid.
Have lost power to the passenger side door. Without power system doesnt recognize door closed because of no power to door ajar switch which keeps dome light on. Security light stays on because without power to rest of systems supplied by fuse it cannot tell if doors and windows closed to engage security features. Most common is for power wire to break somewhere near where it leaves to main body and enters the door.
1.check the fuses for the problem with the cig. lighter and it dont hurt to check them all just in case another is bad.
2.it sounds like the power window motor is woren out and could go out at any time. there arent any fuses for them only relays(maybe).
