1996 Fleetwood Motorhome Start problem

I have a 1996 Fleetwood Jamboree Searcher, Ford Chassie, E350. When starting, it takes several cycles of the ignition switch to get the starter to engage. Clicks are heard every time the ignition switch is turned to the start position, but usually the starter does not engage the first time. The coach batteries are not being charged by the alternator and the emergency start switch will not tie the coach and engine batteries together. Is there a solenoid that activates with alternator voltage that charges the coach batteries? Could I possibly have two solenoid failures? Thank you for any help.

First before we start buying any parts. Have someone tap the top of the starter solenoid on the pass side engine wall. Do this while you're turning the key.If it starts thats one problem out of the way. As far as the regulator and its condition the coach could have been asembled in several possible states and or countries. I've never seen two alike unless they were lined up at a dealership...lol. Just grab one of those 10 dollar meters and check the voltage at each battery while its running, while it's not running and while you are switched to dual mode. All may be well.or not. But you'll save a lot of time with that little meter. There is no practicle way(being a sealed unit) to actually check the regulator.Keep it simple and take your time. Good Luck. P.S. The alternator also has an internal regulator so run checks with the lights and fans on to make sure your getting sufficient voltage all the time. Thanks, Dana.

What fuse number do I buy for Ford 1996 jamboree searcher motorhome TAIL Lights Out. Fuse box is inder steering colom. Thanks.

Check the fuses with a flashlight. You should be able to see which fuse is out. Take it out, and go to a car parts store, and say, "I need one of these.".

Motorhome runs 2 miles down highway then will sputter. I put shifter in neutral then turn ignition off then back on and the engine runs great for another 2 miles and it happens again.

I had this problem, it was water in the gas tank from condensation from sitting .
I had to replace the gas tank which had rusted through, and have a supply of fuel filters to change regularly, I also had to regularly add additive to the tank to absorb moisture ( I think they didn't work).
I surely hope that is not your fix, but it was mine.
God bless your efforts.

Need to fix 1988 Ford Econoline E350 jamboree motorhome starts right up runs good for about 6 miles then it starts acting like it's straining for gas it's a fuel injection 460 engine I redid the...

You say you redid the whole fuel system which means what? From the sound of it the in line fuel filter may be blocked. If you replaced the pump this would be ruled out, if you were not in the tank the strainer on the pump may be blocked. Without knowing what "replacing the complete fuel system entailed" this is where I would start.
