I have a 2003 Toyota celica gt and about a month ago had a new radio installed, yesterday when I got in to drive it my dash light, tach, speedometer, and gas gauge weren't working, my car is a 5 speed so when I park it I usually put it in neutral and pull the e-break, during the day my lights are now all working fine, but at night when my head lights are on I loose all my dash lights? I have herd it is a tail light relay could of gone bad but I can't find it! I have looked everywhere for a diagram and can't find one! Does anyone know where it is located? Thanks!!!

1985 celica GT battery and brake lights stay on. don't drive it often and after a few months of inactivity, have to re-charge the battery. The battery is fairly new.

Small drain on battery from radio, clock etc, will draw it down over that much time, so even a small charger, or short drive once in a while, (little more often) will keep it up if all is working on charging system. Check brake fluid level, as well as try pushing emergency brake handle down, to see if maybe that just sticking. be careful not to pull it too far as it may be partially seized from sitting too much. Let me know what you find.

I have a 1.8L 2003 Audi TT Roadster. About 2 months ago after not driving the car for a week, I the battery went dead, but I did not get any warning lights. Replacing the battery seemed to fix the problem....

Hi,

Thanks for using Fixya!

Sounds like you have an alternator problem. The alternator may have gone bad due to non use. Some parts inside may have rusted out and got damaged. Better bring your car to your local mechanic and have the alternator checked.

Have a wonderful day.

I had the same problem, replacing you thermostat should do the trick, i spent 8.99 on a new thermostat and 99 cents on a seal. For some reason engine temperature affects the transmission shifting. Good luck

2002 Toyota Celica with a strange shifting problem.

Automatic transmission are complex systems. The shifting of gears is based on a number of things like bands, speed, acceleration, deceleration, manifold back pressure, RPMs, temperature, etc.
Sometimes the electrical ground connection for the transmission can become corroded which causes poor shifting.
Since you are getting an error code, you should get a readout for it. Many auto supply store like Advance Auto will loan a meter for you to get a readout. Call up some stores to find one.

2003 toyota celica wont crank after sitting in garage for 4 month

If you have a bad contacts at the battery, solenoid, ground and/or starter .. it could exhibit this kind of activity .. take the battery cables off the battery and clean those contacts till they are shiny, trace the ground wire to the frame/firewall and clean that contact (emery/sandpaper), and trace "hot" wire to solenoid/starter and make sure that they are clean and tight .. another possibility could be the neutral safety switch .. try starting it in neutral

I answered on just like this one about a month ago. What's happening is behind the instrument panel is a plug that likes to come undone. Remove the instrument cluster, clean the bulkhead connector and re-install.

Removal of headlight housing to replace lowbeam bulb.

How do you change a headlight bulb on a 2003 Toyota Celica GT? Under the plastic covering the headlight there is a lot of fog and condensation and I want to clean it off, so how do I take off the plastic that covers the headlight?
Seem to be seal is wear off
already on the front cover
The way to open that
1. There is four screws at the back of
the headlights and unscrew them
2. Pull the headlight and dry it
by wiping or heat of the sun or
anything that can release the fog
3. Buy silicon and seal the headlight
gap with silicon and let it dry for a hour
This will help kept away fog
and condensation for sure
