i found 2 fuse box under hood and by the hood release

Although the radio still works, all controls for volumn, tuning etc., are unresponsive. The display console for the heater/AC is completely dead. All fuses appear to be intact. As far as whether it's USDM, I'm not sure....how would I be able to tell?

Look for another fuse box

  • P Bonner Mar 15, 2012

There are two fuses -- one under the dash and another in the panel in the engine compartment.

Check fuse #16, 15amp located in the cabin fuse box

Do you have the automatic A/C controls? (integrated with the radio) If so, do they still work?

Is your Outback USDM or from somewhere else?

Cigerette lighter in center console does not work after a penny dropped in it.

Check the fuse in the compartment under the drivers side dash. Replace any that have blown and it should work again.

Control panel won't work in my 2005 Subaru Outback

There is a problem with the faceplate. It controls the radio and the HVAC controls. See a Subaru dealer for replacement.

Power Socket not working

check your fuse if thats good take a test light or voltmeter and see if you have any power to the socket. If you don't have power you will need to remove your radio and see if the wires are connected to the socket.
