Battery drained completely BMW E90 2005 model

Hi,The car battery of my BMW 320i E90 ,2005 year model seems to have drained completely.None of the electronics in the car is lit up.The remote control is also not functioning at all. The manual of the car suggests Jump-start using a donor car's battery or a Jump-starter equipment. What would you recommend. And how much time would it take. Kindly advise , i am quite worried about it since its my first BMW and i had it just for a month. Kind regards, Anuli

Connect your old battery with another battery from another car (WHILE KEEPING ALL CABLES CONNECTED ON BOTH CARS) just user a bridge cable otherwise you'll need. a code to reactivate your BMW again. Try now to start your BMW engine. Now go to the nearest battery dealer to change the battery WHILE KEEPING YOUR ENGINE ON, otherwise you'll need a code to activate your BMW again :)

Good Luck!

Hi Joseph I also have a similar problem. Its a 320d 2005 model, it was in an accident and during the time it was in the panel beaters workshop it would start without any problems, but my battery ran flat now the car cannot switch on, only the accessories come on, hence the car wont start. How do I get a new code to reactivate the car? stressed for days

My 2010 bmw 320i does not start,it does not even turn on.What could be the problem here?

try a load test on the battery and if recoverable have it on charge overnight. use a scanner to reset the CPU program as it will be corrupted from a long period of no power.

My 2004 320i will not turn over. Tried to jump it and it still won't turn over.

Look for a bad starter motor or a weak battery or corroded battery terminals.

Cluster problem BMW e90 320i

Some cpu units require a fully operational alternator for everything to work as it draws directly from that source of power. The cheapest course of action would be to have that checked out first

My bmw 320i 05 model wont start (no sound) and there is no dead battery sign on the dash board

If your battery is dead enough, even the dead battery indicator won't light. Take the battery to an autoparts store for a bench test/charge first before trying anything else.

i may suggest you have a good battery.
under ignition system, to test any, under to this system need to have a good battery. it must read under the specification or within the range of a battery to say you have a good battery.
cold weather drains the charge of a battery.

My bmw 320i e90 2005 only cranks but won't start

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

How do i reset the service light for the BMW 320i 2006 model. The key is a slot in type. To start, there is a start and stop button.

If you had work done on the car, they should have disconnected the battery. This "re-sets" the on-board computer to adjust to the new changes.

If you are referring to the "check engine" light as the "service light", here's what you can try:
disconnect the negative battery cable. Wait for 15 minutes, then re-connect. Hopefully that re-sets your on-board computer.

Some cars require a few more starts before the computer resets, so maybe you just haven't started it enough times since it was serviced.

Otherwise, I don't have enough info for a complete answer.

A battery sign appears in my car gage for BMW

Check & clean all battery connections first, see if that helps, then if not, Have your battery & charging system checked, such as alternator. It's trying to tell you somethings not right.
