Take it to a mechanic and have them inspect your system before you crash. Be safe and yes it will cost a couple bucks. Better to find out it needs a 100 part then totaling your car or running into someone cause your wheel fell off.
If the warning lights are on, trouble codes are stored in the computer. Get the codes read and then you'll have a starting point

I had the same problem. I took off the tires and look at the wires, and both of the wires to the hub were broke. 10 min and some tape and problem was fixed.

Have the ABS system scanned for codes. The ABS and Traction control use the same computer. You likely have a bad wheel speed sensor.

Sounds like you have a bad wheel speed sensor. You need to have it scanned. Since it's been sitting, it might just be a bad connection to one of the speed sensors.

i had the same problem on my 2000 montana, used a scanner to check for abs code and found right front sensor throwing code, checked sensor and found ok, checked harness from sensor to connection under hood and found wiring circut at the plastic clip where harness hooks to sensor was bad, replaced harness from connector to sensor and problem went away

a quick test is to disconnect the sensor connector hook up and ohm meter to the sensor connector on the hub side not the engine side and spin the hub if the resistance rises and falls you're most likely ok if the resistance reads 0 or infinite you have found the bad sensor..this won't always be the case but it's a good start in the right direction
