Not a solution for the problem exactly but to the person who pulled his fuse for the dome lamps, all you need to do is turn the interior lights off at the turn signal switch next time. I'm going to have my wiring repaired tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

SOURCE: 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee - problem with power windows/locks

This seems to be the affects of a bad dinamo charging your battery . If you take a appart the dinamo you should fine a part called in mechanic terms "the bones" they look like 2 black magnets with a wire coming out of them . They are not expencive and you should not change your dinamo untill you try this first a car dinamo is very expencive .

SOURCE: power windows and door locks not working

First thing to check is for a broken wire or wires going from the door to inside the truck. Open the door all the way and you'll see a rubber sleeve inside of which are all the wires for all the electrical components inside the door. You can also check the relays which should be under the hood in the fuse and relay center. There are also fuses for the power accessories in the fusebox under the dash.

My 1994 jeep grand cherokee wont stay running and tthe security light is on

Generally you can clear that by locking and unlocking the drivers side door using the key. Also try hatch lock and sometimes passenger side (rarely but sometimes used).

1994 jeep grand cherokee

There is a security feature that will allow to go for a short distance but will stop. It is basically the same as the alarm, when you lock your doors, and then shut the door as you exit, there is a red security light that will blink in the dash. If you manually unlock and open any other door besides the driver door, the alarm will go off. To disable the alarm you have to cycle the key in the driver door. The same goes for the security feature. Cycling the key in the driver door lock manually, should disable the security feature until the doors are locked again. There may be a problem with the remote if you use it instead of you key to unlock your door.

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee door seems to be locked but will not open from the outside no matter what. It will open from the inside but is a pain and would like the door to open from the outside.

Hi young_queen
A connecting spring or connecting small metal like arrangement synchronises the inner and outer lock to open . Each inner and outer lock would have one. The outer lock connector would have got weared out .Please change it
