I have new air shocks and they wont keep there charge, The rear of my car is to low to the ground. Car was jacked up with wheels of ground. ignition turned on for 1 minute, then car was lowered. It was raised for a few minutes then started to go down again. Must be leak somewhere I guess, but how do I find It.
The solution depends of how much money or time you want to spend on this.
How fast does the suspension drop?
Was the system professionally fitted? Most good garages provide some sort of guarantee or warranty on their work, so they should get a chance to check and repair their own work.
The only other way is not hard but time consuming.
If the suspension drops reasonably quickly you can try the following.-
Make sure the car is in neutral and run the car until the system is charged. Next is the obvious bit. Get under each wheel arch and listen carefully. A large air leak will hiss. No hiss? Simple! Pay an expert to sort it.
Here's a way to check for leaks assuming your not in minnesota and its 30 below zero.
Fill a spray water bottle with water and then put a teaspoon of soap in the bottle..shake.
Squirt the soapy water onto the air fittings to test for leaks. If the fitting bubbles up, then you have a leak. In that case, tighten the fitting with a wrench, or remove and reinstall the fitting with thread sealant.
Undo the fitting with a wrench. Apply two wraps of Teflon tape around the fitting, then tighten the fitting and test again.
If the fitting still leaks, you may have a cracked fitting. Replace the fitting and reinstall, then test again.
Hope this helps.

yes u can, u will need one of suncore industries kits ($539.00) to do the conversion to standard shock strut system, u will also need the relay kit. Call them before u buy.

Common problem on all air suspension vehicles. It could be that there is a hairline crack in one of the shock bladders or that the pump is just too weak to pump up to it's intended pressure, a sensor or solenoid could also be bad.
Whenever I run into this problem I order a spring conversion kit for that vehicle, it is usually not worth spending $3000+ to repair the suspension.
www.Strutmasters.com sells the best kits, $327.00 for the rear. It also comes with a resistor so that your suspension light is not on.

I've got an even cheaper and easier solution, instead of buying a new cylinder, find that plug and snip the orange wires going to the old cylinder. Then remove the resistor chip from the key and solder each of the the wires to each side. this will fool the car into thinking the correct resistor chip is in place, allowing you to use the original key or any copies with or without resistor chips. i just did this to my caddy and it roared to life! :)
