It could be the antitheft shutting down your vehicle. This link explains. Something to look for.

SOURCE: my 1999 oldsmobile aurora won't start? It

It may be the starter or just the solenoid on the starter

It may be the Battery

It could be any number of other things

One thing it isn't, is the alternator
Where did you come up with that?

The alternator charges the battery &
supplies all the electrical current when the
car is running

It has no role what so ever in starting the car

95 saturn turns over won't start, what might be the problem?

You mentioned at least six parts you replaced,
at some expense & I assume no testing at all

Now I suggest, you have a repair shop properly
diagnose the issues & resolve

My car won't start, lights come on.

Whatever you did had nothing to do with it starting

All those parts are preventative maintenance, that gets
done based on time & mileage

How about the long version from when the problem
first started & who is working on it & what has been done,
meaning what was tested

If nothing was tested, then you haven't started to even
diagnose a no start condition

My Oldsmobile aurora won't start. Battery still

The lights coming on are standard start-up checks.. The most likely issue is corrosion on the battery terminals. Pull them off give them a good clean up and try then. This is the most likely issue failing this it is probably the solenoid on your starter motor.

1995 Oldsmobile Aurora will start sometimes and other times it won't, I replaced the starter and still the same.

If the engine cranks but won't start, the battery and starter are out of the picture.
When it won't start, someone will need to check fuel pressure and for spark at the plugs to proceed.

Can i put a 1999 montana 3.4 into a 2002 grand am with a blown 3.4

Have a salvage yard check their inter-change manual to see if it is a straight swap. If they say no, it won't, just means it won't be a straight swap. You may still be able to use the block and heads, and swap any necessary parts from your old engine to the new one. I'm thinking a lot of sensors and parts may have different connectors and possibly calibrations, between the two engines.
Good luck.
