Have you tried the glow plug relay? or if you have a test light see if theres power to glow plugs when light is on,should only light for 5 or so seconds.some of the newer hdi dont even use the glow plugs till temp is very cold,i have a 2006 2.0 hdi van and glow plug light only stays on for a second or so,and its been like that from new! is the problem just bad starting? and is it only when its cold? if you have a manual priming pump for fuel under bonnet, trying pumping before starting it could be fuel prob?ie air getting into fuel system

Where is the body ecu located

Engine ECU is located in the engine bay, on the driver side(RHD). Body electrical has no ECU (earlier models). Citroen Berlingo uses what is called 'Multifunction Control Modules'. It has 2 of them. One is located in the steering column switch assembly and the other is incorporated inside/underneath the fuse/relay frame in the engine bay. If your Xantia is late model, it may adopt the Berlingo system but I have not seen one that does.

Citroen relay van 2.0L HDI

Have a load test done on the battery as the glo-plugs should get very hot very quickly. Diesel engines have to have a high rpm crank speed or they will not start and will leave unburnt fuel in the cylinders ( wet glo- plugs). Every indication is that the battery is flat or is not the right capacity for the car.

Citroen Xantia fog and reversing lights not working

Check Fuse F3. It supplies 12v to the reverse switch located on the transmission. If auto transmission (4HP14) the switch will have 4 pins, 2 for reverse light, 2 for starting circuit. If manual, it has two pins. When gear is in other position, only one pin will have 12v. When gear is in R, both pins will have 12v. The 2nd pin supplies directly to the reversing light. Fog light has connectors behind the bumper. It tends to get corroded. Disconnect and clean both side of the connectors and retry. Some may get the wires snapped. Check there first. Fuse F18,F7 and F6 supplies 12v to the foglight circuit. F6 supplies to the foglight relay. Check the relay too.

Is there a fuse for airbag light in citroen xantia

not that i know off ,if its not coming on then you have two choices --connect airbag light to the oil light switch and hope the vehicle inspection man doesnt know this dodge, fit a heater glow plug unit under and connect light via this to bring light on and then make it go out without starting engine because they are getting wise to the oil light trick at the vehicle inspection.Or take it to the dealers ----normal cost at dealers is about 2000euros .If i have one failed at vehicle inspection then i have to have a certificate from dealers that airbags have been changed .More often than not the glow plug relay one will pass providing that i have checked the vehicle first ,because if they see it first?? then it will not pass without the certificate
