I have a 2007 Pontiac G5 Coupe (2door). The sunroof is broken so it leaks (I am working on finding someone to fix it right now). In the mean time, the emergency drain tubes that should be redirecting the leaking water out of my car, are redirecting it to my driver's side floorboard. I am assuming that means that only one of my drain tubes has a problem: the driver's side tube. I have looked under my car and near my sunroof (which will only open 2 inches) and I can't find the tubes anywhere. I am going to attempt to clean it out or check to see if it is disconnected somewhere. I am a female with NO car experience at all and no budget to let a dealer charge me 100-200 for this service. Can anyone give me very easy, detailed instructions on how to go about cleaning out this tube or finding where it may be disconnected? It is only my driver's side drain tube I believe. There are no other leaks anywhere else. PLEASE HELP! It floods my floorboard every time it rains (and this weekend looks like a rainy one!) and my carpets are slowly starting to get that mildew/sour smell!! =X After I get this fixed I'll get them professionally cleaned but until then, it will be useless. Thanks SO SO much in advance! Any suggestions are appreciated (except taking it to a dealer - they know I don't know what I'm doing/talking about so they are trying to charge me OUTRAGEOUS prices because I'm desperate at this point).

The drain is an opening on the passenger side of the car on the firewall towards the bottom.

Brian. crawl under the vehicle behind the the right frt tire and look up and on the underside of the blower housing you will see the rubber drain. squeeze it like a coin purse and finger out and scum that's built up.

I think that I can help you. It sounds like your drain-tube is plugged up. Get in the passenger side, and pull the carpet back from under the glove box. Look for a black rubber pipe that goes from a black box, and pokes thru the firewall, on the passenger side. Remove the hose from the box, and have a container ready to catch water. If water comes out of the black box, your drain hose is plugged up. Clean out the clog, and you will be golden.

The ramp up mechinism is not closeing the gasket up tight agaisnt the sealing surface so this is a warrenty issue, take it in and have it repaired by the dealer. If you want asstanice to do it yourself please Post here for detailed instructions on doing it yourself. You would do better in a chat because of the problems you may run into that way you work with just one person. Hope this helps.
