1999 Chevy tahoe will not start

Tahoe will not start, changed the following: cam shaft positioner, O2 sensors, air flow sensor, battery, distributor, plugs are showing yellow spark, these plugs are spit fire plugs. At wits end.

Check the crank sensor. no signal from the crank sensor causes a no spark condition. best way to check is to put a scanner on and check for rpms.
the crank sensor is differnt from the cam sensor

A yellow spark is a weak spark and useless unless you use engine start which is extremely easy to ignite compared to petrol.Your problem is more likely to be an ignition module inside the distributor.

The gap on the plugs could be too wide or the coils are not generating enough power to fire the plugs. Are the H/T leads in good condition? Are you getting a good 12v source of power to the coil/s while cranking.

2001chevy Tahoe will start and die right away

There could be several possible reasons for your Chevy Tahoe to start and then die immediately. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Fuel system: Make sure you have enough fuel in the tank and that the fuel pump is functioning properly. Check the fuel filter as well.
  2. Ignition system: Check the ignition system, including the spark plugs, wires, distributor, and ignition coil. Make sure they are all working properly.
  3. Idle air control valve: The idle air control valve (IAC) helps regulate the engine's idle speed. If it's faulty or clogged, it can cause the engine to stall. Check the IAC valve and clean or replace it if necessary.
  4. Mass air flow sensor: The mass air flow (MAF) sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and helps determine the correct fuel-to-air ratio. If it's dirty or faulty, it can cause the engine to stall. Clean or replace the MAF sensor if needed.
  5. Security system: If your Chevy Tahoe has a factory-installed security system, it may be malfunctioning and preventing the engine from starting. Try resetting the security system and see if that helps.
If you're unable to diagnose and fix the problem on your own, it may be best to take your vehicle to a trusted mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.

Camshaft position sensor how do I change this not the crankshaft shaft position sensor cam 98 Tahoe 4x4 5.7

I have a 96 mazda van and although I was getting camshaft position errors, it does not even have a camshaft sensor. It generates the signal from the distributor location.
BUT I do not know if the same is true for your Tahoe. Find a repair manual in a library and look it up if you don't get a helping answer here soon.
