The car will not start & the remote control key will not lock or unlock
remote batteries are new
The fuses looked fine...the battery is fine
Any answers? Thanks
I just had this problem and found the solution on an other online source.
The modules have been known to lock up. Try disconnecting both battery leads and hold them together for about a minuet, this should reset the modules. Reconnect the leads and that may fix the problem.
Good luck it worked for me
I just found out that in the 2008 year model the sensor mondular for the keyless remote has a tendency to attract static electicity and that leads to shorting out causing the vehicle not to start unless you disconnect the battery to reset the computer. The tech installed a new sensor module that is supposed to have the flaws corrected. I guess we will see if it does and if this is truely the problem at hand. I do want to comment on my 2008 caliber. I am honestly happy with it.

i have the same problem. how can i fix it?
I have a similar problem except my remote entry works. turn the key and nothing happens. Delaers are almost useless. Dodge should either start making cars simpler so thier reps can fix them or get reps that can fix them. If they cant do either, they will end up out of buisiness. Maybe they are heading that way now?? And my tax dollars support this?? Thats worse!
Driving my 2008 caliber and noticed theft system light remained lit. Also tire pressure light continuously blinked. Returned home and shut car off and tried restarting it. Car would not start or crank. Popped the hood to check if I saw anything out of the ordinary. Nothing. Even tried spare key. Same thing. Tried using remote lock, unlock, and panic button and they don't work. Any idea what can be causing this?
