05 chrysler pacifica 0700 warning code and shifting problems

After driving a bit, the more you drive the worse it gets when the car shifts down into first gear it will get stuck there. If you pull over and turn the car off and then back on it will be fine until the next time. It seems to be happening more and more. It had been sporadic over the last few months. Car does shift hard from 1st to second also now. Gas mileage has decreased also.

This is classic limp in mode. The computer won't let it shift to prevent further damage to the transmission. Gas mileage will go down because you're stuck in low gear. P0700 is a pretty general code. You need to get it to a shop for a diagnosis

SOURCE: gear shift difficulty moving/gear shift stuck in 1st gear

sounds like your shift cable was freezing up and finally snapped. check the trans shifter side and see if you can move it if so then this is problem. your car runs a cable not rods. if you pop the center console out you will get a better view there is one or two screws at back of console in cupholders and it should come out

SOURCE: where are the spark plugs on an 05 3.5 liter chrysler pacifica?

Each of the plugs has it's own coil so they are under the swaure coil, you won't see traditional spark plug wires, look for sets of two wires headed for ~ 2.5 inch square block, three plugs can be seen in front of the large plastic air plenum, the uther three are underneath the plenum. Takes a real handy DIY person to do this as there are plenty of things to remove before the plenum comes off. Take good notes on how you remove things, I missed a lever that is part of the idle system and throught I messed things up bac\d, but when I located the correct place to attach the lever it was fine. Also be careful and not break a connector to the individual coils. I did, but was able to glue it together...

SOURCE: Shift problems in 95 chrysler concorde transmission

Sorry but if your reverse is having trouble you will probably have to replace or rebuild tranny like me. Otherwise try new filter and fluid first.

Dtc 0700 jerks when shifting from reverse to drive

The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

Have a Chrysler Concorde, 2001. I can drive it a little ways and as i begin to slow down most the time I hear a big boom like noise (like a huge balloon, but deeper in sound) and then it stays in 2nd gear...

You need to have the TCM scanned for codes. Autozone can only give you the ECM codes. You have code 0700 listed. That means there are codes in the TCM. When the TCM has a code in it, it goes into limp mode and locks the Transmission in 2nd. You might have a bad speed sensor.

2005 pacifica p0700 touble code problem

The P0700 refers to a Transmission Control System Malfunction. It's a generic code in that it's a warning to have your transmission computer scanned to get the precise codes in order to diagnose the problem further. Apparently, transmission issues are common in all Chrysler products in the mid 2000's . Have the car scanned for a more specific code and post back your results for further instruction.

they is always a bypass so call a local tech @ Chrysler and ask um if they know where it is?
lots are under the column or on the left of the shift lever. it will just look like a small hole or key slot, it may have a plug over it you will need to pull out.
