My 1997 Toyota T-100 tends to start up fine in the morning, but once the truck has sat iin the sun all day, it does not want to start up very well. The truck has a strong crank, and the fuel pump and spark plugs were both replaced in the last 500 miles. I'm dumbfounded as to what this could be. It almost seems like the sun heats something up to where it would not allow it to work properly. Any ideas?

I had this problem recently with my 98 camy LE. Just replace or clean the idle air control valve

blue smoke is evidence of oil burning and is most likely valve seals. this can be done on most cars with head still on by applying air to the cylinders this keeps valves up while spring is removed

There are various things this could be ie inhibitor switch on auto box relays wiring fault or ignition barrel problems try putting the starting the car in N instead of P and wiggle gear lever about other option bypass everything and connect a live feed straight to starter motor cranking wire which is located on the starter motor, if car still wont turn over tap starter motor with a hammer, if hammer trick works then you need a new starter
