brown to the tail lights. yellow to left turn signal. green to right turn signal. this is a basic 3 wire hook-up i use all the time w/4wire connectors for all trailers. white wire is not used. ground is established when you hook to the ball.
to find the correct wire to splice to, use a testor (has a clip to the bare wire, and a sharp point to the truck frame). using a needle, push it through a wire to rear light harness. turn on the turn signal. check if the connection is the blinker, testing until you have the blinker wire. the tail lights can be attached to the license plate wire. brakes and blinkers use same wire, so brake lights will work whenever the turn signal is attached.
to be sure everything is working right, have a second person go inside the truck and work the signals, brakes and lights one at a time while you are at the back of the trailer telling what to do.
SOURCE: problem with kia sportage no
i just put a new fuel pump in a 97 sportage with the same problems but now it starts and idles just fine but as soon is itry to give it some gas it stalls out and starts backfiring through the intake,i put new plugs and wires on after that started up better but still same problem, me thinks its the kickdown cable for the transmission is causing it because the gas pedal is tight but the kickdown cable hooked up to the throttle body is stuck out so i think the transmission is sensing wideopen throttle therefore its advancing the timing way too much and causing it to stall, or it could just need a new timing belt, but i took a peek at it and saw my camshift timing marks were in the right spot and lined up together however, i dint see the crankshaft timing mark so i dont know yet but once i fgure it out i will def let you know because its been in my bay for 3 days now and its pissing me off hope this helps a little

had the same problem....broken spark plug. try replacing your plugs.
SOURCE: 2000 kia sportage. no start no spark no injector pulse.
check both of your fuse panels for a blown fuse. there's 4-5 that control the fuel pump, engine sensors, fuel injectors and such. one of those may be blown and not letting the rest of the system function. one panel is located under hood, and one is under the dash on drivers side. when you take the covers off they have the fuses numbered and tell what they control.

what size motor./ 3.5, 1.8? either way they are under the intake. a 6 cylinder will take about 2-4 hours if you never did one. why are you changing them. very rare that they go bad. make sure that there bad before jumping in and sending that much money.
