has the lighter been used a lot ? the element may be burned out , try the other lighter in the socket thats not working and see if it heats up if it does the you need to replace the lighter
There are two locations for fuse boxes on a 2005 Cobalt. 1) is under the hood, on the driver's side, under the jump start contact. 2) is inside the center console, on the right side. The forward part of the console kick panel has a press-opening panel, which, when removed, reveals the fuse box.
The one "foe" the cigar lighter is in the number 23 position. It should be a 20 fuse (yellow) I don't have a picture of the layout but incase they are not marked it will be the 5th one over from the left on the top row. I hope this helps and good luck.
Are you sure you are looking at the right fuse block in the manual? There might be two different pages showing two different fuse blocks. One in the cab and one under the hood. If you are thinking fuse, check the cig lighter too, normaly they are on the same ciricut.
