I found a leak in the undercarriage, a line is leaking and I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't seem to be a critical fluid, it actually looks like water.
If the leak is in the center front of the car and feels like oil but you can't located a leak. Look at the front motor mount, it is liquid filled and could be leaking. My 02 Camry with a 2.4 L 4 cyl had this problem at around 70K. Mount is less that $200 and I had a shop replace it because Toyota wanted to much to do it.
If the leak is under the passenger side, about midway back (right under the firewal, to be exact), there is a line that does indeed drain water. This is the condensate drain for the air conditioner. As the AC operates, it removes humidity from the cabin area. This humidity condenses into water, and collects at the bottom of the heater/AC box, and then is drained out onto the street, via a rubber tube, thru the firewall. This is a normal condition, much like the AC unit in your home, it too has a condensate drain line. Nothing to worry about.
NOTE: If you run the AC with the "FRESH mode" active, as opposed to the "RECIRC" mode, you will get MORE water draining out under the car, as the AC is working against fresh air entering the cabin/more humidity... Hope this helps. Please feel free to comment back if you have further questions, and Thanks for choosing FixYa.
