I have a serious problem which i hope someone can help me with. My 2000 x5 4.4 i bmw battery went dead last night, the problem is i can't open the door manually due to lock not working, also since battery is dead, can't use the key remote. I saw someone hook up a power pack under their x5 bmw by passenger side which then open all the doors. If anyone knows the exact location where i can hook up the power pack beneath the x5 so i can get into my bmw. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you...

I m a locksmith and had the same problem

What you do is:

HOld The handle up while you turn the key to the opening direction, it will feel as though it may bend the key but it will not.

try this, put the key in the drivers side door then turn the key to open position as th same time lift up the door handle . if this does not work then jack up the car , and with jumper cables hooked them to the starter--red to solinod of starter and the ground to any good ground.then hook the other end to another vehicle.keep in mind all the safety precautions! Then try the door with the key in normal operation.Your battwery is dead.!

I have a 2001 BMW Z3. The battery went dead last

most new BMW's the fuse block is located behind the glove box. There should be a pair of twist plastic fastners at the back of the glove box, twist and remove the plate and you should find the fuse box and fuse locater list.
