Hi There, On my 2000 Accent the central locking has stopped working, the remote has long since stopped working but the key still unlocked all the doors until recently, not it only unlocks the drivers door, using the door lock internally no longer locks all the doors either, could this be a fuse? I looked for the central locking fuse but could not find one, any advice welcome. Thanks Mark

u will have to replace the celenoid so it can work normally again or just remove the celenoid and the car wont have a shift lock any more, you can also bypass the lock by pressing on the small hole on the top left side of the shifter.. hope this helps ..

without havin a quick look i couldnt say about the central locking but my main suspect would be the drivers door lock ,its all integrated into the lock mechanism but sometimes i get them to work with a bit of a switch cleaner spray ,other times its the where the wires run through the rubber shroud from teh door to the door pillar,as for the abs well thats simple its just a case of isolating the fault on one of the sensors on the wheels ,they use a magnetic paint sort of stuff on the back of the wheel bearings and it can get damaged or corrode off on a uk reg vehicle .just myself a new car as well yesterday a 1998 rover 400 top of the range turbo diesel everything in fact for 150 euros UK reg so it will be given a proper service then my daughter can fly over and pick it up .Well pleased a much better buy that a hyundai as they are cheaply built and do suffer from problems you describe including a gearlever thats moves everywhere and collapsing seats plus a dash that warps and cracks .Pity about rover though as such a good quality build of car

Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

the doorlock on the drivers door or the wires break where they come through from the door through the rubber into the car
