I can't get the battery charge light to come on. I have put two Altenators, batery, and checked all my fuses. I even when and bought another instrument cluster, does the same thing. It will charge but I am only getting a little over 12 volts. When I put the new cluster in I got it to charge 14 but that did not last very long. I don't have a draw from the battery when the key is off. Sean

Sounds like a bad back up light switch. Most are located in console w/ shifter.

I suggest the possibility of a loose connector, maybe the main engine connector remove inspect pins apply diaelectric compound and reconnect the connector with care to assure good contact with all pins.
