Heater Passenger side doesn't change

Hi

I have 1993 Buick Regal. It has dual controls for the driver and passenger.

When switching to heat for the winter, the driver side vents have heat coming out. The passenger side still has cold air. All of the settings work, Heat, Air, Vent, window vent etc. It is just the heat slide control isn't functioning properly for the passenger side.

I was told that there is some type of door that has to open and close depending on temp that it is set and that the door is probably stuck causing the cool air to come in.

My question is how do you get to this door to free it up.

Thanks in Advance

Thanks for your expedient reply. I now have to know how to get to it. I assume it is within or under the dash on the passenger side. Once I get to it I can test it.

    Thanks

Most likely the blend door motor is defective.

I think this requires removing the dash assy.

2004 Chevy Tahoe: I changed A/C blend door actuator on passenger side and it's still blowing heat on my driver side?

Does the vehicle have dual zone climate control, where the driver side and passenger side have different control? Sounds like a blend door issue on the driver side. Why did you replace the passenger side, was it blowing hot too when AC was on?

Location of blend door actuator on 2001 Buick Regal

driver side actuator for blend door is electric servo controlled. It could be jammed or computer sending it in wrong direction. Unit is located on driver side of heater case.

Ac is cold on drivers side but passenger

Is this model Regal equipped with dual ac temp switches? If so, the passenger side temp switch is bad. Make sure both switches are in the cold position and try it again. If it is still acting up, simply replace the switch.

Automobile air conditioning on max cool, blows hot air on passenger side tried dual climate control settings still cold on driver hot on passenger

I had the same problem when i was working on my 1999 Buick Regal and had to disconnect the battery. I didn't reconnect in the same way that I disconnected the battery from the terminal and noticed that the driver side had no heat or air but the passenger side did. I then disconnected the battery again and reconnected it the same way and now have heat and air on both the driver and passenger side. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Heater working improperly

Check the actuator motors on the heater, there is two one for passenger and one for driver side. They allow the air to be directed from the heater or ac.
