Miss fire in cylinder #1, 1998 subaru legacy outback

Have DTC Code PO101, a miss fire in cylinder #1. I have inspected the spark plugs but all are in good condition. A tune up was done approx. 30k miles ago. The fuel filter was slightly restricted but just barely. The wires ohmed out within spec's. Originally, had a PO103 code along with a PO325 knock sensor code. Resistance was out out range and replaced the sensor. The resistance on the coil reads good but I haven't seen it on the scope. I don't have a scope to see and read the ignition patterns. The resistance at the injector is good, 11.5 ohms.
problems occurs after the car warms up and intermittently. what am I missing?

Hi, I have the exact same problem. The exact same codes comes on, we changed the spark plugs it stopped for a month and it started to do it again. Have you found the problem yet?

You have managed to mix up the firing order. Wrong plug wires to wrong cylinders

2006 subaru outback, missfire code - cylinders 1 and 3. Could it be coil or plugs and wires I'm told at service shop. Anybody come across this?

had miss fires with my 92 legacy gt.typical suby fault coil packs always go out in saying that check that you dont just have a foul or failed spark plug. easy fix if it is the coil i replaced mine with 2nd hand ones from the same model usualy find them at most subaru specialists wreckers etc depending on model.

How do you replace the spark plug wires on 1997 Subaru outback/legacy?

Access from top is better but you must remove battery/washer reservoir driver's side and intake piping on passenger's side to get to the plugs. If you have bad back, access from underneath is fine but I'd have a ramp instead of jack for safety reasons.

take the head off and do a valve grind in ?? valve springs ?? weak broken .low compression??

1999 subaru legacy outback check engine light flashes and scan tool says cylinders 1 and 4 missfire. Reset the code and drive for a while and the same thing happens, any ideas?

check plugs, wires, etc. check all ignition system

#3 cylinder miss in a 1997 subaru outback 2.5 liter coil pack, wires are good. #3 plug can be heard firing through the exaust at idle. timing? lifter shims? sloppy timing belt?

Do a cylinder compression test.

2000 Subaru legacy outback 2.5L DTC P0420 code will not clear. I replaced the rear O2 sensor and the CEL is still on. I used the scan tool to clear the code but it will not clear.

that code is saying you have a problem with that system. if you go to autozone thay can print that code out for that tells you what to check. other then that you may need to get it diagnosed by a professional

I have a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback AWD. The

when you replaced the plugs , was one of them (cylinder 1 ) dirty and fouled ?
I'm thinking that bad rings in cylinder would give you low compression , and eventualy cause the missfire by fouling up the plug.
There is an inexpensive product that will help with the compression by filling up scratches in the cylinder walls. It is called Restore , and it is one of the only products of its type that I have used , and feel actually works.
Unfortunately , if your rings are broken , or badly worn , nothing in a bottle will fix them.

If your car had a distributor cap and rotor , I would change them too.
