2001 Plymouth Neon water problem on back seat floor

Get your heater core checked. May be leaking.

remove crank pulley and timing cover. line up timing marks remove tensioner and belt remove pump.

undo the motor mount on passenger side . with large block of wood on top of a floor jack under the oil pan and jack the motor up you have too do this . and you should change the water pump while you have it apart

I had the exact same problem with my 1995 neon. It was leaking around the tail light. I pulled the tail lights off and put a heavy coat of RTV silicone on the gasket, and 2 years later never happened again

there is a leake in one of your rear tailights, check in your trunk as well below the spare tire and you will most likely find another pool of water, clean up both your floor board and the trunk area and then all i have done was sealed the tailight on the passanger side and it fixed my problem.

If you remove the carpet, you will find rubber plugs there that plug the drain holes in the floor. May be that one of them has dropped. And then the water flows every where.

The most likely place that it may be coming from is the Rear window seal.
When the rear window is put in - a rubbery tar is used... and after time (especially if parked in the sun) it will shrink, and dry out.
Usually at the top of the window is the culprit.
it will involve removing the rear window CAREFULLY and replacing the seal with a 2 part epoxy.

If you have a sunroof - there is also a drain tube that may have come disconnected.

Is it when the A/C is running? It means the A/C drain hose is clogged. Blow it out with some compressed air.

GOING TO TAKE SOME DETECTIVE WORK. MAY
HAVE TO REMOVE SEATS AND APPLY GARDEN
HOSE TO DIFFERENT AREAS TO SPOT LEAK.
HAD A LEAK ON A MAZDA 626 DRIPPING ON
HEATER BLOWER MOTOR. TOOK TIME BUT I
FOUND IT.

hi it sounds like your rear window is leaking. it must be removed then re sealed to stop the leak
