The key doesn't work in the door locks?
If that's the case than your only alternative is to call you local towing company or locksmith and have then perform a lockout service.

there is a common problem with these cars it is called a lighting modual that very well could be the problem ..the proper way though is to check all the fuses first and make sure the bulbs are good
SOURCE: door panel
Depends on what door trim you are trying to replace. If you are trying to replace the door trim on the front doors you need to remove two screws from behind the casing around the door handle and then remove a screw from the bottom left of the door and then there will be a screw on the left of the door as high as the arm rest on the door. Finally pull up on the door panel and out to remove the panel. Remove the harnesses and you are complete.
If you are trying to remove the rear doors you need to remove a screw from the bottom of the door again near the left side then remove the screw from behind the casing that surrounds the door handle. Finally pull up on the door panel and out to remove the panel. Remove the harnesses and you are complete.

those control units in the crown vics **** out all of the time. they're not cheap from the dealer, try auto parts stores for aftermarket or junk yards.
one trick we did with cabs was to pull the unit out and splice the black and blue vacuum lines together. that's great for summer, but you have only vent then.
