Good at start up then lack power under load,a plugged exhaust can do that.If there was a misfire that has been ignored the catalytic can only handle for so long. The 1994 Previa uses a vane airflow meter.so a torn intake duct can also cause lack of power under load,so check the air duct at the MAF to the intake and inspect for false air.

1993 ford e350 econoline 5.8 liter, has no power but battery is good 12.9 volts

If your 1993 Ford E-350 Econoline with a 5.8-liter engine is experiencing a lack of power even though the battery voltage is good, there could be several potential issues to consider:
  1. Fuel Delivery Issues: A clogged fuel filter, failing fuel pump, or fuel injector problems can all result in insufficient fuel reaching the engine, leading to a lack of power.
  2. Ignition System Problems: If the ignition system components such as spark plugs, ignition coils, or ignition control module are malfunctioning, it can cause poor engine performance and reduced power.
  3. Exhaust Restrictions: A clogged catalytic converter or exhaust system can limit the engine's ability to expel exhaust gases, leading to decreased power output.
  4. Air Intake Blockages: An obstructed air filter or intake manifold can limit the amount of air entering the engine, causing poor combustion and reduced power.
  5. Vacuum Leaks: Leaks in the vacuum lines or intake manifold can disrupt the air-fuel mixture and negatively impact engine performance.
  6. Sensor Issues: Malfunctioning sensors such as the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or Oxygen (O2) sensor can lead to incorrect fuel-air mixture and power loss.
  7. Timing and Distributor Problems: Incorrect ignition timing or issues with the distributor can affect engine performance and power output.
  8. Engine Compression: If the engine's compression is low due to worn piston rings or cylinder head issues, it can lead to reduced power.

P0308 code intermintently pops up can i pass smog

  • Check Engine Lightflashing
  • Rough running, hesitation, and/or jerking when accelerating
  • In most cases, there are no adverse conditions noticed by the driver
  • In some cases, there may be performance problems, such as dying at stop signs or rough idling, hesitation, misfires or lack of power (especially during acceleration), and a decrease in fuel economy

Have the fuel pressure tested. Also do you have a Check Engine light on?

Ford f350 4x4 7.3 powerstroke, lack of power. max out at 20-30mph when pulling hills with or without trailer, doesn't seem to know when to shift, sometimes will shift sometimes not. ?????

check the wiring harness and connectors to the boost sensor, if sensor is not reading the truck drops into safe mode, and drastically decreases engine power. the sensor is located on the intake manifold.

Fuel pressure low at pressure monitor

HI. There are some areas that will need to be checked for faults, in this case. Check the following:

1. Fuel filter- If this device is clogged, or faulty, it will decrease the flow of fuel to the injector assembly. If the filter hasn't been changed recently, this will be a good place to start.

2. Fuel pump- This device may be weak, or grounded poorly. check the ground, and all wires the link the pump to the power source. replace any corroded contacts and connectors. wires,as well, if needed.

3. Fuel pressure regulator- The fuel pressure regulator is used to keep the fuel pressure in the fuel rail consistent and change the fuel pressure depending on the throttle position. The fuel rail is in a fuel loop between the fuel pump feed and return lines. Because the fuel delivery requirements change depending on the engine's throttle position and engine loads, the fuel injection system must be able to adapt to meet the fuel requirements of the engine's operating conditions during idle, acceleration and steady cruising. The fuel pressure regulator has a small vacuum line attached to it that allows the pressure regulator to change the fuel pressure in the fuel loop depending upon the intake manifold pressure which changes as the throttle position changes. When the throttle is opened, the manifold vacuum pressure drops off, causing the pressure regulator to increase the fuel pressure in the fuel loop, which increases the amount of fuel delivery at the injectors to provide for the additional fuel needed for the engine to operate properly. At idle, the manifold vacuum increases and the demands for the rate of fuel delivery are decreased so the pressure regulator decreases the fuel pressure in the fuel loop.

1. Look for visible evidence of fuel leaks.
2. A pressure regulator can become defective due to foreign material or a ruined diaphragm.

The result will be hard starting, poor idle quality, and lack or power. Burned spark plugs can result from operating with a lean air/fuel mixture, as well. replace this device if faults exist.

2001 elantra lack of power

Confirm ur fuel pump is working. Ensure ur pickup tube is not blocked. Then ensure u did not leave a rag or parts in the manifold tubes. Not laughing it happens. Is the distributor in the right spot. Etc etc. Did u rehook the alt up if removed . Is tje battery fully charged. And lastly is the fuel flowing and freash. Then recheck your work did u replace all parts right. Any air in the head gasket will make the fuel /air mixture off.
Good luck

Renault clio

Hi

There is a good chance (amongst other things) that the EGR valve is stuck open. It can easily be removed and cleaned.

However, the engine management light is the way forward. Have a code read done and it will point you in the right direction.
