The headlight control switch is on the steering column. To replace the switch remove the plastic trim covers over the steering tube to reveal the switch and connectors. Disconnect the battery negative cable before starting work, this is a must. Below is a picture of the switch.

SOURCE: How do you change the headlight bulb (low beam) on

You should be able to access the buld holder from the rear of the headlight. It's a nylon bulb holder with a lock thing on it. You squeeze the lock part and turn it counterclock wise, and it should come out. Remove the old bulb and install the new one being careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb with bare fingers. The finger print you will leave can cause the bulb to prematurely die on you.

Bad headlight switch or relay, or shorted wire. I would check the relay first.

Headlight wont work

P lights and fogs are fused separately to h lights. Go to the fuse box. Next the high low relays, then the column switch, but have a test lamp ready to test for a supply at the actual headlamp because if there is power to the lamp but no light, check the ground wires from the headlight unit are tight and on clean bare metal

Integration relay

check the lamp itself to be sure it isnt burned out... check the main fuse and relays under the hood... check for bad wires throughout the lighting system (time consuming and tedius)

Have you checked the light globes ? The globes have a filament for each of Low and High Beams and the Low Beam ones fail much sooner than the high. A bump as you describe may have been enough for the Low beam filaments to fail as the filaments get brittle through age.

Low beam headlight is out, doesn't look like a fuse

Check the Headlight Switch. If your headlights come on automatically check the headlight sensor and its associated relay.
