Well you have a timing belt and a balance shaft belt, then you have a belt for the water pump and alternator, one for the ac, and one for the power steering.
For the 1992 Plymouth Laser: I do not know if you have the 1.8L SOHC or 2.0L DOHC (or Turbo) In-Line 4-Cylinder Engine; however I have included both below.
yes they should be the same you will have to swap some of sensors though also before you put the engine in you should replace the timing belt and water pump
I am sorry, but it sounds like your oil pump has gone out or is going out. I am sure that you have checked the oil and added it until it is full. If you would like to try to save the engine, you will need to take off the oil pan and change out the oil pump.
set it to top dead center and clock cam gear. align timing belt and release tentionor i belive. if u replaced the belt recently then it shouldnt need replacing for awhile.
This is a interference motor. If the timing belt broke the valves will have fallen in to the cylinder and you will need over hall. Yes it is true so you will also need a head to this motor . call a local repair shop to confirm . If it is a SOCH or DOCH 2.0 I am sure of it . Now you can get lucky but it is rare. if it sounds like a sewing machane when you try and start it then it is broke for sure.
