Loud humming noise from right front end of 99 blazer

The noise doesn't occur every time I drive. I can't see anything when I look under the hood (but then again I don't know what I'm looking for). The noise starts when I am accelerating and seems to be louder when I brake. It does not make the noise while idling. The humming almost sound like it's tired or running out of something. All my fluids have been recently filled. My serpentine belt has a crack in it (but I was told that makes a "squeaky" noise which I do hear)

The noise is coming from the wheel section, it's called air splash, humming varies with speed, main causes are wheel alignment due to loose ball joint, check if your tire erodes on one side, next check your disc brake for clogged air cooled vain and disc wearing

SOURCE: broken hood

look under the car or behind the grill there should be a black cable running to the under side of hood.if you ''skin'' the black plastic back you will find a metal wire.now take two pairs of pliers.one to hold the black casing and one to pull the wire.that should open hood.once hood is open you'll see where cable attaches to hood latch.that cable needs replacing.

SOURCE: I have a squeaky sound coming from my back left tire on my blazer. It doesn't happen all the time just it seems when the ride is a little bumpy and it doesn't last. I could park my car and get back in

CHECK THE PARK BRAKE CABLE JUST IN FRONT OF THE LEAF SPRING HANGER. IT MAY HAVE A CHAFFING MARK WHERE IT HAS RUBBED THE CABLE CASE.

SOURCE: 1997 chevy blazer, serpentine belt making

May be a worn belt or a pulley whose bearings are shot. Remove belt and check it for the ribs having broken down or missing parts of belt. While it's off, check all your pulleys for turning freely, alternator, tensioner pulley, a/c compressor, PS pulley...If you hear any noise when spinning them, or feel any movement like wobbling, or if they have a rough feel, then its likely that pulley needs replacing.

Why won't the fuel pump shut off

Fuel pump won't be the cause. Most likely the relay.

Noise coming from the rear end of my 2004 honda pilot it really only occurs during cold weather and after it warms up you hear it slightly

When does the noise occur, while driving only, or driving and idle, in gear, or in neutral and park? If it occurs all the time (while driving and at a stand still in cold weather) it could be the fuel pump. If it occurs only while driving, it may be a wheel bearing. Describe the noise (humming, grinding, whirring, etc), and what is the mileage on the Pilot? Answer my questions so I can fine tune my answer. Thanks!

Vibration/Humming/Grinding noises when stopping or turning left.

when turning left vehicle distributes weight to right front wheel bearing causing load. since u describe a noise in right front while driving straight i would suspect failed right front wheel bearing. see if your noise changes/goes away while turning right that should tell u 4 sure
