Emergency lever switch is stuck

More likely it's the adjustable switch under your brake pedal if your brake lights won't turn off. Emergency brake lever does not turn your brake lights on at all. If you are referring to your brake light on the dash, sometimes that is also an indication that your brake fluid is low. Emergency lever switch going bad is very rare.

Hi,
Some cars do not have an emergency brake release the way to release the emergency brake is by pressing it again harder than before. I know it sounds strange but some vehicle manufacturers have incorporated the release into the pedal itself. Good luck.

Emerg Brake is stuck and engaged, won't release -

ok then. the E-brake cable is not broken just stuck, the cables tend to get rusted and thgis happens all the time,What you can do is go under the truck and manualy pull the cables rear of the truck this should release the brake.
As for the four wheel drive the E-brake has nothing to do with it. on the transmissions transfer case there should be a switch or a manual lever that a cable hooks to this is most likly your four wheel drive problem unless you have locking hubs where you have to pysicly get out and lock the hubs at the wheel then the locking hubs may be worn broken or bad.

Emergency brake sticking.....i think. Mazda B4000 pickup

Are you sure it is the emergency brakes?Or is it a caliper stuck, because it is bad,or the caliper brake hose is stopped up?Jack the wheels up,one at a time, and try to see if they will turn by hand. This will tell you if it is front,or rear.If it is the emergency brake, then the cable from the front,to the bake,is most likely the problem,it is rusted ,and frayed, and stuck, you will have to disconnect it at the rear, from the brakes. If this helps, let us know,If it is the calipers,in the front, the wheels will not turn by hand.Brake loose the caliper bleed screw, and if the caliper turns the wheel loose, then the brake hose is bad,if it does not ,then the caliper is bad on that wheel.

Emergency brake stuck, pedal release broken

What happens is the brake cables rust inside the cable sheath and then they won't slide easily. There's no good fix for this other than replacement. It's not easy to even find where they are stuck. It might be possible to find the end of the cables at the back wheels and pull the cables back---to release the tension

They are not too expensive... If you are going to go to the trouble of removing them anyways , I would put new ones in.

jack up the truck, remove back brake drums and loosen emergency brake hardware next to calipers.  Reassemble and lubricate all cables.
That's it in a nut shell.
