Freon is mostly phased out these days, but you can get a retrofit key for R-134A at an auto parts store that will allow you to refit your lines with the new caps so that it will accept the R-134A fill bottles, it you even need those.
There is a good chance your car may already be running R-134A instead of freon. You can go to Target or Wal*Mart and get a fill kit, and it will instruct you how to connect the lines and fill it up. If they don't fit, you can get the retrofit kit from Autozone or another auto parts store.

It could be a bad wheel speed sensor..causing your anti lock system to pulse.
I have an 06 and have just developed very bad issues with my anti lock brakes.
They began pulsing at slow stops on dry pavement, and then clunking, and after I released the peddle sometimes it will contiue to make a loud tapping noise.

If you havent already try to change the transmission filter.Sometimes when the filter gets dirty fluid pressure is comprimised and certain pumps and solenoids which control shifting inside the transmission function off of the fluid pressure,

yeh its located under the passenger side glove box,its in the heater box beside the heater motor ,,2 scews hold it in and it looks like a credit card when its out,,,,
