Not saying that this is your problem but it might be your oil pump is getting weak or your oil pickup is dirty. I would start by changing the oil and filter.

Testimonial: "thank you I will try that, will go to mini lube hopefully, that will fix the problem "

SOURCE: 1996 T-100 dash brake light will not go out

The brake fluid level sensor in the master cylinder is stuck in the lower position which completes the circuit to illuminate the light.. Try tapping lightly on the side of the reservoir to loosen it. If that does not help, you will need to replace the level sensor.

SOURCE: 1994 Toyota 4x4 Brake Warning Light Going on and Off

You have one of two problems.

The most common issue it low brake fluid in the master cylinder. As the brakes wear down, the brake fluid level drops proportionally. On the side of the master cylinder is a sensor, that measures the fluid level. Open the hood and check the level. If is is anywhere close to the "MIN" line, you may have some brakes that need replaced.

The second issue, and it is more rare, is the park brake cable rusting, and hanging up.

Easy way to check either: When the light comes on, open the hood and unplug the wire going to the sensor on the side of the master cylinder. If the light goes out, your fluid level is the issue.

Thnaks for choosing FIxYa for advice!

SOURCE: 2001 toyota corolla le emergency

If the float is blocked in the brake fluid reservoir, then it will indicate that there is low brake fluid.Actually its full, but still it will indicate, that its low fluid, due to stuck-up reservoir float. Many a times there is air bubbles got created in the fluid reservoir and this cause the problem. Just get the fluid drained and refill the fluid to its required level, then check. Also get the filter checked. If its blocked or clogged. It has to be replaced. The clogged filter does not allow the float to properly float up to the connection point and causes the brake light to go on.------------ if all checked ok, then another possibility is the parking brake engagement sensor, a mechanical switch that is engaged when the parking brake lever is activated. It may have gotten stuck in the on position and need to be cleaned or replaced.------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

SOURCE: Should I be concerned about the oil pressure light flickering when I brake hard or idle?

Yes, the oil is the life line to the engine, without proper pressure or circulation the engine will die, no different than us humans. The reason why the light goes off is that the engine is running at higher RPM pushing more pressure to the sensor therefore it turn off the light. When the engine running at low RPM the oil pressure is low therefore it not enough pressure to turn off the switch. 1st. it cheap, replace the oil pressure switch and make sure the oil dip stick at proper level. If replacing oil pressure switch does not rectified the issue, the oil pump might be going bad and not pumping proper pressure. Replacing oil pump is a major job. remember, on any vehicle, if it run proper there should be no lights on and that is the reason why they put the lights there for a reason. Check and see you have a small oil leaks.

Hi, i have a warning light on my mini cooper, its yellow with a exclamation mark inside two brackets, what does this mean.

either low tire pressure or brake warning. See pics below. If it's the brake warning, check your fluid level. If level is low, check for leaks at brakes, master cylinder, also clutch slave if you have manual trans. Let me know if you have questions.

Oil light on when oil is full

a loose connection WILL NOT cause flickering oil light unless your your oil is empty at the same time a connector is loose. This flickering is most likely caused by clogged oil ports or failing oil pump. When this happens there is insufficient oil running through the engine, causing the sensor to activate the light intermittedly. Have this checked immediately to prevent extensive engine damage. Hopefully this helps!!

Oil light still on after oil change.

Could be a bad oil sending unit. Check to make sure it is not leaking. If you don't hear the motor start knocking when the light comes on, most likely not an internal problem, but an electrical problem.
