You need to install an electric fuel pump to lift the fuel from the tank to the mechanical pump. You can turn off the electric pump after starting or use it when bleeding the lines after changing the fuel filter. You can start the truck after a few minutes instead of a few days. I know from experience and fought that problem for years.

Have a 4.3l 6 cylinder g20 i accidentally put diesel oil into. from what i read its no real harm just might want to change before winter, im about 1 qt low, can i top off with regular oil? Any harm?

If you mean that you put Diesel in the crankcase it depends on how much and it will separate in the oil pan when it stands which means that the first lube that gets sent around the motor will be diesel which is a poor lube
change it as soon as possible as your motor will be prone to enhanced wear and failure

What type of oil do you recommend for my 2005 6.6 Durmax. And should I change the fuel filter at every oil change.

Rotella T 15w40 is the standard for diesel engines. I would highly recommend changing the fuel filter every oil change.

Witch engine oil is suitable for a VW Jetta 4?

TWO answers read and follow the Manufacturers Specification. OR Always use ** 15-40 Diesel Rated Oil is ALL gas, natural/propane and diesel Engines! Use Purolator, then WIX, then Manufacturers Filters - NEVER Fram, "special". oil the oil lube shops filters!!! WHY? When flying planes, every 100 hours I remove the filter, cut it open, and INSPECT the filter material for particulate. My Vehicle Engines go for well over 600,000 miles - most other peoples. simply do NOT!

** I use Delo 15-40 in everything - an better one is Shell Rotunda, however too expensive and not needed! In gas engines after 500 miles, the FIRST Time ONLY - Replace the oil AND FILTER - mixed fuels and oils NEVER mix well. Then on gas engines ONLY replace the filter at the "normal" intervals and ADD not change, the oil... On Diesels, due to the extreme compression, you DO change the oil, at "normal" intervals. In gas, NOT diesel engines - you could use Pep Boys and/or Walmart's generic DIESEL GRADE oil - NOT in diesel engines, as from my experience.

AVOID gasohol - unless you like flash rust and oxidation inside your engine AND 30% less fuel mileage - NEVER use WD40 on ANY metal you want to reuse! And do NOT use BP or unknown small time gas stations - as MANY "top off their fuels" with other octanes - which LOWERS the octane - do to "covalent bonding of carbon molecules" Example: a 50/50 mix of 100 octane with 90 = closer to 80 NOT "in the middle". I have a 530D BMW 2005 model, I found that the diesel is mixing with the oil and giving off massive amount of white smoke. The diagnostic report showed glow plug cylinder 5 and 6. We did the service a

I am not to sure what u are asking here but I would say u need 2 glow plugs . I would be checking the dpf filter as that gives off a light colour smoke when trying to regen and if it can't regen that is where the fuel is getting in oil , modern diesels need to have long runs quite oftern driving around town blocks up dpf in the exhaust the car try's to regen using extra fuel to get it up to temp to burn off the soot inside it prob not running long enough to do it. If u got good diagnostic gear u can preform a regen stationary hope this helps

207cc 1.6 Gt Fuel Filter location

What do want to change the fuel filter for they never need changing here in europe as the fuel delivery pumps in the fuel stations have micronic filters inside the pumps ,europeon law so it shouldnt need changing unless it corrodes away that is if its a metal casing .Their is a gauze filter on the fuel pump inside the tank but if this motror runs ok leave well alone and stop playing around trying to a boy racer sunday mechanic job ,change the oil every 5/6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change and use the cheapest diesel/petrol engine oil you buy ,gap the plugs every other oil change and it will run like a dream ,stick to putting a boom boom box in and stick go faster stripe and leave it alone

I am driving a 2006 KB 250 fleetside, just over 101250km. This is my first diesel vechile and i`m abid worried about my fuel consumption. Done a trip to luderitz recently and used about 38 lts for 390 km...

The injectors have o-rings that will wear and cause fuel leak into engine and cause same smoke problem ,but glow plugs are only for engine firing.........you can change o-rings only but if it has lot of miles i would do injectors...
however make sure the fuel rail isnt leaking at injector connection.also check exhaust for excessive heat or noise inside cat.converter if you can shake it.....some come apart inside.....
it would be worth having the engine scanned to make sure 02 sensors are good..they control air/fuel mix and if oxygen level is incorrect it will burn more fuel and sometimes fuel scent but not very bad.

HARD METALLIC TAPPING ON JAGUAR XJ 2.7 DIESEL ESPECIALLY WHEN COLD OR AFTER BEING STOOD

hydraulic tappets by the sound of it ,three squirts of fairy liquid into engine oil and some diesel say about half a pint then run engine for a couple of days then when noise stops change the oil and filter ,if oil hasnt been changed for ages then when hot and ready to change add some more diesel say a litre then let engine idle for ten minutes and then drop oil .then change oil every 6000 miles with a oil filter every thrid oil change ,Use the cheapest oil you can buy say a 10/40 but even a monograde of 30 or 40 will do ,do not use expensive long life oil as it just causes the engine to clagg up inside bolcking the oil ways causing this sort of problem ,if in the uk then shell rotella is a reasonable priced oil and its a good oil

I just bought an 03 td4 gs freelander and the oil on the dip stick is black, this is my first diesel car so not sure if this is o. always had petrol and it's like golden syrup in them? :-)

diesel engines do run dirty if this was my car i would change the oil and oil filter as a mater of corse, at lest you will know its been done then, also change the fule filter and have a look at the air filter as well
diesels dont like dirty fule or partly blocked filters, for what they cost its well worth the effort if you have only ever run a petrol engine you will find that the diesel need more servicing more often if you leave it unserviced the engine wont last as long as it could so dont skimp on the servicing or you wont be saving pennies you will be spending pounds

P0302 CODE

Probably has a plugged catalytic converter from the misfire that was on cylinder #2, which was indicated by the code. If you wanted to confirm the plugged cat, you could remove the precat O2 sensor and drive it. It will be noisy, but if you get an increase in power, you know you have a restriction
